I think it is one of the sadest moments I have ever experienced. I remeber the first day when so many people went to protest, the first night theu camped…Honestly, sad…

But, we will remeber this camp-town as an example of challenge against all “Won’t happen”, “Won’t work out”…
They tried against all odds, critics and sceptics and it deserves our deepest respect.

Many sharing your grief… But this is war… of each and everybody. The war not agenst the goverment of Lukashenko…it is everlasting war against your own ignorance and indiffirence. War for freedom. For your own internal freedom. Those folks that were struggling for the freedom for their nation, thye won this war. All the rest 10 millions, who was silently watching, lost it… It was said long ago before…”each nation deserves it’s leader”. So I guess time is yet to come, when Belarus will deserve a better one… Nobody can make those people happy. Nobody can truly free them(see what happened to Iraq or Ygoslavia, forcefully ‘liberated’ countries).
Belarusians have to do that themselves. 10 millions nation can not relay all work on shoulders of 1000 young mens and women, while the rest will be sitting in theirs warm chairs and eating all shit their being given by local TV channel…

don’t be so defended! tomorrow will be an huge demonstration, you’ll see. now the belarussians know with who are they fighting for! courajous people are getting more courajous and strong when they face enemies!
in Romania inn 1989 when ceausescu did the same thing (uese the violence and arresting) people get more courajous because they knew from that moment that the “father of the nation ” is a dictator.
after this ceausescu made a very big mistake, which contributet in a major way to his fall: he organised a meeting of the workers in which he wanted to blam the punks. that was the moment that we , the fighters for freedom expected for: an opportunity to gather in the square of Bucharest. we gathered about 50000 and it didn’t take long time until we started to scream against ceausescu. after this the 50000 became 100000 people and we made barricades. ceausescu , with a huge fear ordoned to army and police to SHOOT THE DEMONSTRATORS. the chief of army at that time didn’t want to execute the order and suicided himself.
but the kgb -sts shooted a lot of people especially in the night. maybe you think that this scared to death the people … Yes , this scared to death us, but also turned ourselves in a kind of freedomfighing beasts. we pu ourselves on the sreet’s concrete and scanded the most terrifing thing ot those terrible days: ” WE SHALL DIE AND WER SHALL BE FREE!”

Thanks for your words, they instill some hope. You know, sometimes I have a feeling that it is not just Belarusians against Lukashenka, but Belarusians against people who called themselves as such. Watching police officers kicking and beating students…So brutally, without much mercy…I would understand it if these people were occupants from a different state…But they are from your own breed.
