Oh, that lovely breath of the warm Black Sea. Unmatched nightlife. Crazy prices for the housing, quality of which would give a birth to an inexpressible confusion to anybody who ever cared about the difference between one-, two- and minus 5 star hotels. (By the way, there, in the place we are talking about, small barn where in winter owner used to keep theirs stuff and perhaps theirs pets, is considered full-blown apartment…no joke). And food? Oh, that food… Legendary quality. Even more legendary then those who survived eating it without any severe damage to theirs health after a month-long vacation. Beaches are crowded no less then Johns Beach, NY in the early mid-August Saturday afternoon. Beautiful mountain trails and crazy mountain road drivers, who (for a good amount of money of course) will give you a lift down or up that mountain road in the way you’d feel the Road of Death in Bolivia is a kid’s joke. Weather is wonderful. The coldest month is February. But do not let the word ‘coldest’ trick you. Winter’s average temperature there is 42.8 °F(+6 °C). Not Phoenix, but still somewhat warm to my mind.

Sochi, Russia. Universally renowned pan-exUSSR resort(summer time resort to be precise) will host Winter Olympic games(yeah, those games where they gather to ski, skate, and do all kind of crazy stuff on the snowy peaks and icy tracks) of the to be glorious year of 2014.

I don’t know fellas, either Russia has some sort of special plan that will turn global warming into global cooling(hey maybe that was the reason behind Putin’s pit-stop at Maine last Sunday); or Russia has a climate-adjusting alien technology, usage of which we are yet to witness. In either case, Russia got a good opportunity to earn a big buck(or at least Russian top-ruling fellas… who has ever cared about mere mortals there?..)

Anyway, let’s hope the choice of the Olympic Committee will prove to be right and will benefit everyone. One is for sure, that the town of Sochi will change dramatically over the next 6.5 years. But the thing I hope for the most, that these upcoming Winter Olympic games will be held in democratic Russia and not in the born again dictatorship…

Kiev, Ukraine.
Yesterday, group of supporters of Belarussian movement for freedom, gathered near Belarussian Embassy in Kiev. Within the bounds of meeting, ‘elections of president Lukashenko’ took place.
Everybody were able to vote for Lukashenko by putting into ballot-box as many voting-papers as he or she wanted.

Voting-papers were created by the best-of-the-best from Belarussian Central Election Committee(BCEC).
“We have had formal reasons to cancel registration of those candidates. However we’ve decided to give our electives opportunity to use their right to choose”, – said chairman of BCEC, Lidia Ermoshina.
(here is an example of voting-paper)

Writtings oppose to checkboxes says following
(checked one): I support regime of Alyaksandr Lukashenko
(second one): Please arrest my entire family
Afterwards, total votes were counted.

Wow! 183% for A. Lukashenko!

There was poll watcher from СIS(Сommonwealth of Independant States). Let us hear what he has to say:
“We believe that elections was transparent, liberal and legitimate”

“Ad honorem” elections concert of belarussian pop music was given near Belarussian Embassy.

Man with video camera walked out of the embassy towards us. He looked like home video amauter. We tried to take a picture of him, but he was turning away and trying to sneak and talk to police. Policemens were just smiling. Looks like the guy get countries mixed up

After voting we headed to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Near ministry we read demand to announce Lukashenko as “persona non grata” in Ukraine, and to sound position of Ukraine regarding recent events firmly. Ballot-boxes were left at the front doors, so ministry empoyees will have a chance to vote as well.

After solemn signing of national anthem of Ukraine, all participants went home with firm intention to gather again.
