I love the country and its people, they are poor but so very friendly. I am amazed at the poverty in the villages in Belarus, it is a disgrace in this the 21st. century. The ordinary people deserve better than this but I fear that the President and his state police will keep them down by force. My only hope is that the people will keep on protesting and eventually the country will become democratic,. Democracy will prevail, no government can keep its people from free democracy for ever, that has been proved in many former Soviet countries. God bless Belarus and its great people.
