Supporting Nash Niva
Lukashenka’s regime might have halted publication of Nasha Niva, (see Nasha Niva post), but it could not stop people from organizing another flash-mob in support of this newspaper. The Radio Liberty reports that about three hundred people, took part in a symbolical march that started on the October square and finished around the Victory Square in Minsk. All participants were holding and reading copies of Nasha Niva during the march.
When people reached the Victory Square, they started peacefully walk away in a small groups. Exactly at this moment, Special Police units unsuccessfully attempted to arrests the few of participants. However, as soon as the bigger groups dispersed, police managed to arrest about 10 people on the local streets.
