Visiting San Diego, CA. Part I…
Folks, I am sorry for not posting for so long. I was away in California and while scouting the West Coast my laptop finally gave up on me. A technical examination revealed an overdose of fresh air, sounds of pacific surf and tranquility of surrounding nature as an apparent cause. It proves that technologies are fragile and next time when I travel somewhere, I will take an old fashioned typing machine. But anyway, welcome to California and San Diego!
A five-hour flight from New York took me to LA and from there to San Diego, CA. Landing in San Diego International airport I was greeted by the United States Marine Corps boot camp, conveniently located right next to the airport and perfect 70 degrees weather. Hoorah!!! Finally, I could stretch my aching body while my East coast, down-to-earth soul attempted to adjust in different surroundings.
It took about a whole day to get acclimated in California, but the moment I stretched my legs on a hotel balcony overlooking Pacific Ocean, the whole adjusting process was over. I felt perfectly blended with sounds of ocean surf, tropical nature, and colorful architecture in a Spanish style. Add nice smooth jazz aired by local radio station and you will get a whole picture. I don’t want to sound overly romantic in my descriptions, however, most people who visited San Diego county would probably agree with me: it is truly beautiful out there.
to be continued…
