7 out of every 8 liters of petrol was supplied by the US. Long before the US entered the war, Britain was broke and could no longer afford to buy materials and finished goods from the US under the cash and carry agreement. Take away lend-lease, the Americans and Canadians supporting and then getting into the war, and I think both the SU and the Uk would have sued for peace. I think the NAZI party would have collapsed after the death of Hitler anyway. If you look behind it all, NAZI Germany was nothing more than an entire nation gripped in a personality cult.

most logical explanation is the US was a sleeping giant waiting to gain more power and a reason to capitalize on Germany break throughs in nuclear science, aviation, etc. They entered after a lot of hard lifting and sacrifice was already done by Europe. Its like the 3rd dog waiting for the other equally strong ones to wear each other down and then come in for the kill. Who gained the most after world war 2 ? It sure as hell wasn't anyone else but the U.S.

With the USA out of the war, Japan could have begun attacking the Asian part of the soviet union forcing that much more pressure on the USSR. The Germans could have had time to developing jet fighters, rockets and possibly even nuclear weapons to turn the tide in thier favour, without pressure from the west. Britain may have even been starved out and forced into submission with out American support

The most important items that the USA was supplying to USSR were strategic materials like aluminium, copper, etc . The amount of it was more than manufactured in the USSR in that time. Total list of items was very huge.
It is very unlikely that USSR would win without any help. 5% probability of victory. Even if the USSR would win, the amount of its losses would be much and much higher, additional 6-7 millions of people.

"...everything that the Japanese were planning to do was known to the United States..." ARMY BOARD, 1944

President Roosevelt (FDR) provoked the attack, knew about it in advance and covered up his failure to warn the Hawaiian commanders...

We must also remember the immense help we did give in strategically killing Nazi industry. Almost half the Nazi tanks that came out were of pure quality, due to overwhelming bombing raids. Britain was not capable, nor able to defend/bomb on its own. They lacked both the aircraft escorts and the industry to survive such a war. The Battle of Britain also saw termendous losses for the RAF as well, and if the Nazis had not stopped their own bombings on British fighter industry then the British RAF would've been wiped out.

Let's face it. Without our help, Russia wouldn't have gotten the necessary equipment to their troops. Everything, from winter clothing, to even more than 4,000 tanks (half of which were effective Shermans' armed with 76mm guns, anti-freeze added to the ammunition storage). They also received many P-39 Aircobras. Those served up until 1943.

Lotsa good info here. I see no practical scenario where germany doesn't win vs USSR without US intervention. Without the allied bombing destroying the german infrastructure and the millions of tons of weapons/concrete/steel used to secure the western front, compiled with 5 million fighting troops stationed there, it's absolutely impossible that the USSR sustains a defence. German tank production alone would have steam rolled the russians, they anticipated 6000/panthers year alone, but were not able to build this because all of their factories were being torn up.

Add the 1st army, 7th army, 15th army, 19th army, 5th and 6th panzer to the eastern front and then fortify them with all the air power and tanks germany "projected" they would make and it would have been a slaughter.

As it was the germans managed to kill nearly 25million russians while still sustaining the western front. I don't even want to add in lend-lease, which is always minimized, 19000 aircraft were given to them through lend lease alone.

My conclusion without a doubt is without the western allies help that the soviets lose.
